Nissan Xterra Review

2013 Xterra Review
Belleville | Kingston | Trenton

I delivered a beautiful black Xterra to some very happy customers here at Belleville Nissan last night. They had been using a small SUV from one of our competitors to tow their trailer and finally had had enough of the sluggish performance.

The Xterra will be perfect for them. There are over 280 Foot Pounds of Torque at the ready and enough guts to tow 5,000 pounds (2,268 Kilos) without strain. The Xterra was made for this.

For outdoor fun – snow or sand or mud, through hill and dale– the Xterra is perfect. The roof rack is functional and cool looking and even has an area for storage built right in. On both sides of the vehicle there is even a foothold for easy access to the roof and all you might wish to keep up top – skis, surfboards, camping gear, whatever!

The 4.0 Liter engine has 24 valves and Double Overhead Camshafts and it pounds out over 260 Horses as well as the aforementioned Torque. You can also lock in the rear differential electronically.

Here at Belleville Nissan we are all about a little safety mixed in with our fun and the Xterra delivers here as well – there is Hill Start Assist to keep you from rolling back when starting on an incline and Hill Descent Control for when you need to come back down. Yes, going up that hill is fun but sooner or later you must come back down.

You can also shift on the fly (up to 100K per hour) from 2WD to 4WD.

With the back seat folded down there is a ton of room for gear and it is easy to clean up as well. For an extra long load you can fold the front passenger seat flat and stuff a full size board inside. Handy tie downs are placed strategically to secure your goodies.

With the roads of Canada littered with pretty little 4X4 vehicles that never see mud or dirt it is nice to run across an actual adventure truck/toy for those who walk the walk. When the outdoor world beckons the Xterra answers the call. This is a vehicle for the rough and tumble.

I strongly suggest you drop in to Belleville Nissan and check out one of these beauties. You will love it! My name is Dave Johnsons and you can count on that.
